Jade is a lovely, sensitive and gentle 5 yr old shepherd who came to our rescue in pretty bad shape. Then she met her wonderful foster-angel, Joyce who nurtured Jade into a gorgeous, strong and healthy dog. Now in a stable, loving situation, her personality is emerging. Jade uses her paw to let her foster mom know where to put the dog dish as she's lowering it to the floor, as if to say, "bring it here, right here!"
With her foster dad, she is very affectionate and follows him around everywhere. When he is lying on the sofa reading in the evening, Jade lies on the floor next to the sofa and periodically gets up and licks his ears. After lying there awhile longer, she gets up and licks his ears all over again as if to show him how grateful she is that she's there. She just melts your heart! She will need a special home that can provide her with stability and a calm environment and an understanding that she's had a pretty tough time in life...so far!
She's playful and friendly with people and other dogs, both male and female. And cats!! She knows basic obedience and is housetrained.
