Sammy was found at night, running down a highway by a kind-hearted person who pulled him into her car. He was filthy and emaciated and scared. His guardian angel took him home, fed and bathed him and contacted us. We think he is about 2 years of age. His foster parents tell us he's a wonderful dog, gentle, attentive, sweet-mannered and affectionate. He's terrific in the car, loves his crate and he's wonderful with cats, just walks right by. What a good boy! He's recently been neutered and had an xray of his hips and spine. The hips are perfect and the bump on his spine is from an old injury. It does not cause him any pain but does cause his back legs to have minor loss of sensation. He'll just need help jumping up into a truck (or onto your bed ;-) It does not slow the boy down a bit as he plays and romps and runs on a fenced acre with the doberman from his foster home, coming into the house for a drink, then back out again to romp some more. We have no history on him, so we can't recommend him to families with small children. He's so handsome now since he's gotten up to his ideal weight and with healthy food his coat just gleams. He longs for a permanent family and home to call his own. He's a loving and wonderful companion.
