Magic is a beautiful 2.5 year old, 90 pound, black GSD. Sadly, he was owned by a man who recently passed away The man's wife finds that she is overwhelmed by the changes in her situation and is heartbroken over having to find another home for this kind and gentle boy, but knows this is the best thing for Magic. She tells us that in the house, his manners are immpecable and he is calm and affectionate. He is wonderfully patient and gentle with his Mom's two Yorkshire Terriers and when the grandkids come to visit, Magic snuggles up between them when they are in their sleeping bags. His leash manners will need work and a strong arm as he has gotten in the bad habit of chasing cars and cats. We have no doubt this will get much better with obedience training! Magic is too big and bouncy for small children and may knock them over unintentionally. It's too early to tell if he's OK with cats. He will be coming into our rescue this weekend and we will have a much better idea of his personality. UPDATE: Magic is an awesome dog! We picked him up at the ferry landing and immediately departed. He was unfazed by the noise and commotion of the ferry and walked through the cars and onto the deck as if he did it every day! There was another dog on the ferry who slipped it's collar and ran over to Magic to bark and sniff, but our good boy did not respond! Wow! And he's gorgeous too! More updates soon.
