Amara is in a high kill Shelter in Oregon awaiting us to pick her up. A wonderful volunteer, Kevin, has offered to drive all they way down to pick her up as well as Dancer by this weekend. . Amara had Nevada dog tags and the Shelter volunteers remarked it looked like she had walked to Oregon. Her pads are worn down, bloodied feet, abrasive wounds, skin wounds, grade 4/4 hear murmur.
I know this sounds like a dog that would be impossible to place. The shelter said they would spay her only if I took her..she has no other options and is not up for adoption at the Shelter So, when you are faced with this choice, what could our Rescue say to this Shelter..No? The reason I say Yes is because we find the most amazing families who come forward and contact us and offer to adopt and foster. If I had not seen the placement of dogs like her, I would not be able to help her, but I know that she will find a home.
If you would like to meet her when she arrives, please let us know. IF we find a foster home for our pair of white shepherds, Max and Megan, then we will have a space to take Amara into our Rescue.
