Trooper is a really great dog. ......He is a very friendly, social, loyal, attentive and affectionate shepherd,. He gets along great with other dogs (tiny and large) and does fine with my children (5 and 10). My 10 year old enjoys taking him for walks. He listens to her and doesnt pull. He is calm in the house and sleeps quietly at night. He can be gregarious, playful and talkative and he will be a really fun side-kick for the right person. He loves riding in cars and has a high affinity for food. He would love someone who could take him for daily walks as he need to lose a bit of weight. Trooper will need an owner who has experience with some GSD traits as he looks like a great big teddy bear, but he doesn't like STRANGERS to treat him as such. He just needs a bit of time hanging out with the new person before he's back to his teddy-bear self. His owners will be able to love and cuddle him as much as they want and he will lay his head in your lap for the affection. He is not good with cats. He is in great shape as far as his hips and hocks and he's nicely squared-off.
