What a cutie this girl is!! Soft and snuggly with a gorgeous soft coat. Mandie is a happy, 9 year old. She does not act her age at all and often outruns the other dogs at her foster home. She has a sweet personality and is very loving. She knows her basic obedience and is crate trained, as well as being very good when it comes to baths and nail trimming. She is well behaved with her foster mom's two cats. Mandie adores playing fetch and will outlast you every time! If you are looking for an older dog with plenty of energy, you should meet Mandie! NOTE: Mandie is on thyroid medication which she will need to stay on. It is inexpensive and only costs around $9.00 a month. There is no problem giving her the medication as she will eat the pill right out of her bowl with her regular food. Super easy!
UPDATE FROM HER FOSTER MOM: We took Mandie on a walk around the farm on the long line so she could meet the (uncooped) chickens and ducks, horses and etc. She sniffed them a couple of times, but was basically more interested in attention from us and sniffing around a little (probably looking for food, she's very food oriented) We also introduced her to the horses, she could care less about them. Very respectful of their space...again, more interested in us than them. All in all, I think if there were a "farm" or "horse" home interested in her, she would be very good. Of course we won't try taking her for rides with the horses until we are more sure she will listen and not run away.
