Kobe is a AKC sable male. His family is in the military and has moved with him from Rhode Island, S Carolina, Virgina and now Washington. However, due to a lack of time, not due to a lack of love, they have decided that they would like to find a home for him who has more time. He was in a home with a 9 mo old and according to Kobe's dad, Kobe is very sensitive with his daughter. Kobe is currently being fostered in a home with children and cats. Kobe is great with his foster families kids. If my 5 year old starts crying or is calling for me, he gets up to check on her. He enjoys walking the neighborhood with my 10 year old. The cats find him highly irritating as he barks at them but with training he will, most likely, learn to leave them alone. If you have cats and want to adopt him, you will need to let me know how you plan on working with this. He is trainable with the cat issue. Kobe is very calm in the house and lays around quietly during the day. When its time to go for walk , car ride or play ball, he excitely runs to the door and talks to you in his deep shepherd voice. He is quite the alarm if someone comes to your door, but always greets people with a (friendly )wagging tail. He also has his K-9 Good Citizen Certificate and is fine with other dogs. He LOVES to play frisbee and play fetch. As you can see the only thing he's interested in is if that soccer ball is going to move. He will be happiest with an active family who has alot of time to play with him because Kobe likes to have fun. He has all of his papework, 3 generations worth and his hips have been certified "OFA GOOD." Kobe is an extremely finicky eater and needs to put on some weight. He has been bounced between 2 foster homes and is settling in again. His next move will be permanent. Kobe will be altered prior to adoption.
