Samantha nearly lost her life and did lose her family, as a result of a potentially fatal infection. Luck was on her side the day that she was being left at the veterinary clinic to be euthanized - the director of our Rescue happened to be there at the same time the family was telling their dog good-bye. She intervened and her wonderful vet was able to perform life-saving surgery for this special dog.
Samantha has made a miraculous recovery and is now in a foster home, waiting for her forever family.
Samantha's foster mom reports that she is a wonderful dog in every way! She is house-broken, affectionate, playful and has a fabulous disposition. Samantha loves to lean her body into yours for love and look up at your with her adoring eyes. Samantha has a strong, protective bark, but greets people warmly when they approach. She is very gentle and loving, with people and with other dogs. Samantha would like to have a family to call her own again.
