Update from visit with "playdate" house today: Zoe is a fabulous dog! She is VERY affectionate to people, played well with my kids and has great energy and health for a dog of 9 yrs - amazing really! She LOVES toys - went straight to the toy basket and pulled out stuffed animals one by one. She is in a house with 3 other large dogs today. She has her "moments" of being a bit disgruntled, but easily backs off when told. She could meld well into a well-established household with another, submissive large breed dog. An experienced owner would suit Zoe well - someone well knowledged of this breed. Zoe is very obedient also - she crates well, rides fantastically in the car and is not a bother in the home. After she has her burst of playful energy, she is content to lay down calmly and observe the goings on in the household. She deserves a great home - please consider giving her a chance!! ------------------------------------------------------------------ Hello, my name is Zoe. I am a 9 yr old purebred GSD that has fallen on hard times through the years. I have had three owners in my life - none of which were loyal enough to me to include me in their moves and changes in their lives. Now I am sitting in a kennel, away from the people that I love. Anyone who knows a German Shepherd knows that we thrive on love and companionship, and we fade as we are away from our people. I am looking for someone to care for me in my twilight years and I promise to return your love and affection and provide you with my loyalty. I need a very special home, which is why I am still sitting here. I need someone without cats or other dogs because I want to be your one and only companion. If you think that you have a special place in your home and your heart for me, please email an application. I am so sad here. I am being well cared for, but I am missing one on one companionship and the stress of my loneliness is taking its toll. I just want to lay my head by your feet and rest near you. I have been told that I am going to have to move along from this place soon too, if you can help, please consider helping me.
