Update on Brody's progress: Brody's foster mom reports that the years of neglect and exposure to the element have not diminished this beautiful boy's disposition. He is gentle, affectionate and quickly learning the joys of being included in a family. Brody is mastering house-training amazingly fast! This gentle boy deserves the best of homes to help make up for the years of neglect that he suffered through. Can you help give him his happily ever after??
Have you ever driven by that corner home and seen a dog chained in the yard, or a dog tied to a tree or even a dog sitting in a pen day 24x7? Many people have and just drive by. They assume someone has already complained, so what else is left to do... For a family in Puyallup, they watched this dog sit in that kennel run, day in, day out. In the rain, by himself. Fortuantely for this dog, they contacted our Rescue and we contacted Animal Control. Animal Control seized the dog from this family this past week. A dog that had lived in this yard for the past 6 years. His sibling was not as lucky. She lived and died in that kennel run, where she spent all of her life. A wonderful volunteer at Animal Control, who was instrumental in getting him out of that life, has taken him into her home until Jan 13th..He will then need to be moved into a new foster home. He is mainly blind, so a home without stairs is what we are hoping for.. When you drive by that home, call your local Shelter or Humane Society...No dog deserves to live like this dog did..Fortunately for him, he might have grown up in this pen and spent 24x7 of his life in it, but he is slowly learning what life should be like..
