Mik is house-trained and crate-trained. He is patiently waiting for his forever home!! I am approximately 7 months old (as of the end of July 2007) and they are calling me a Germation. I am a male and my mom was an AKC German Shepherd who had a rendezvous with the neighbor's dog - another AKC, although Dalmation, not shepherd!There were 10 in my litter and we all pretty much looked the same. I am currently in foster care in West Seattle. My current foster mom has already found homes for two of my brothers but we all kind of looked the same, so now I am one that is still looking for my forever home. I am a pretty handsome dude and I am about 50 lbs and taking on the build of a Dalmatian. I have been in foster care for 2 months and have already been neutered. This picture was taken about 2 months ago. I am working on knowing what quiet, no, sit and lie down mean too. I am pretty well behaved and adapted to my new place pretty well. I have a beautiful shiny black coat with a little black zigzag marking down my back that kind of sparkles in the sun, a white stripe down my tummy and a big white paw. I am very active and if you are looking for a walking or running buddy, I am for you. I love to play with my foster mom’s big dogs. I love people and I listen very well and would make a great friend for an active boy or girl. I am a little pushy, and like to play, but if I step over the line, the other dogs put me back in my place (hey I am just a little boy who loves to tease). I lie next to my foster mom when she is out in the yard and I am pretty good on a leash. I come when I am called (pretty much), unless I am having a lot of fun, but even then I have never went too far without coming back when called (even when the cat was such a temptation to run after). If you are looking for a friend who is loyal, fun, affectionate, friendly and eager to please…think about me. There is a contract from the WGSR that has to be completed, a home check for space and proper facilities for a big dog, a requirement to have a good space for me when I am left unattended and a requirement to enroll me in a puppy training class and an adoption fee that covers the medical expenses from the vet (see contract on website for details). Please note: Our rescue is run exclusively by volunteers. We will process your vet check and application as soon as possible, but delays sometimes occur when there is a high volume of applications.
