Notes from Penny's new foster home:
Penny has blossomed in the week she has been in my care so far, and will only keep opening up. She is shy and timid at first meeting, but quickly warms up to new friends. She gets along well with my two cats. She also gets along with other dogs who have respect for her age and size, and she will put a puppy in its place--despite her size--if he starts being too rough. This said, there is not a violent bone in her body! She simply makes her voice heard when necessary, and not more often. This makes her a nice, quiet girl, and an ideal dog for condo or apartment life. She will happily sit in your lap or by your feet all day long, if you let her. She doesn't like to watch you go out the door without her, but does well on her own once you are gone (no destructive behavior or messes on the floor when you return). She also loves going on walks, and going places in general. I take her to my classes, and she loves the attention! She is well potty trained, but as she is small, cannot "hold it" for really lengthy periods of time. I do not know if she is pad trained, but if not, I am sure she would take to it well. She would make a great office dog, as she follows you around everywhere, and will settle down for a nap after she makes sure everything is in order. This dog is a real snuggle bug! She loves to sleep under the covers with you! She does appreciate her crate, as well, and will go in politely when told. Her previous owner obviously loved and spoiled her very much, but sadly has passed away. Can you give Penny a forever home?
