Nellie is a heart-breaker. She has the sweetest disposition, loves attention and adores playing ball (she can even masterfully carry 3 balls at one time!) She has lived with other dogs, cats and young children, although her current foster home sees a bit of a prey drive in her and doesn't know if a cat household would be the best choice for Nellie. We would love to see Nellie join a family where she is the only dog so that she can be the center of attention and get the care that she deserves. Nellie has a pancreatic enzyme disorder that she has to deal with everyday of her life. The condition leaves her coat lacking some of its luster and her body thinner than normal. The good news is that a simple medication given on a daily basis, helps her deal with her condition. Nellie takes her medication (which is not expensive) without fuss and goes on about her business. This pretty dog deserves a family who understands her condition and wants to help Nellie live the best life that she can. Keeping Nellie on a regular, consistant diet, along with her medication are the key. Nellie is a gentle soul who wants to please and also have a good time. She recently visited the beach (as shown in the photos above) and she had a fabulous time! She loved chasing the waves and her toys. Nellie has so much to offer and deserves a family that wants to shower her with affection. Our adoption process includes completion of an adoption application, a vet check, a home visit and a lifetime adoption contract. Adoptions are not done on a first come first serve basis. WA German Shepherd Rescue is the companion animal's advocate and will select the most suitably matched home for the dog's general needs and the unique needs of each individual dog in our care.
