Brownie was deserted at a kennel by her prior owners. A kind animal lover walked her and her buddy, Bruno, daily, but they lived the majority of their days in the confines of the kennel run, without love or companionship. Brownie's current foster home describes her as a sweet, shy girl who wants to please. She walks well on a leash and enjoys human companionship. This sweet girl deserves a chance at the live she should have had all along - inside, being loved by a family who adores her!
Foster Home Update:
OMG, we ADORE this dog! She is so sweet, mellow and laidback. Given that she lived in a kennel for so long I'm surprised at how well she receives affection. The girls want to keep (but we wont because we could no longer foster if we adopted her), and Taylor likes to hugs Brownie and hang on her neck like a perma-hug! She does the cutest
thing with her paw if you stop petting her before SHE'S ready... she'll raise her paw ever so slightly and rest it on your arm, leg, hand or whatever is closest. Very endearing! She slept on the bed with Taylor and I on Saturday night, and again with me last night. Clearly she feels
like a princess on a comfy bed. I have noticed that she does NOT like the crate so much as I have to lift and shove to get her to go in it. She's such a sweet dog! She'll do really well in a home with a family who will give her lots and lots of hugs.
