German Shepherd Dog / Mixed : : Female : : Adult : : Large
Jada is a lovely, adult shepherd who has quite nicely bounced back from the loss of her prior home. Jada's resilient spirit is typical of her breed. She, like most shepherds, is extremely loyal to her owner (currently her foster) and enjoys spending time in her company. Like every self-respecting shepherd, she enjoys a romp at the park, engaging other dogs in games of chase and tag, or chasing after a tennis ball. Jada is equally content relaxing on the dog bed at her home. Jada is a smaller female, weighing in at only 57 lbs. Her vet has advised that this is an ideal weight for her body and perfect for her joints. She regularly enjoys outdoor physical activity, as well as strolls in the neighborhood, meeting various people. Jada always does well in her surroundings, and again, as is typical of her breed, she looks to her handler for direction. Jada does well around other dogs, although her current foster believes that she would be best suited as the only dog in the home, as she is not interested in active play while at her house.
Jada is a very well rounded dog who will fit nicely into most adult households. She is intelligent, social, athletic and adaptable. Jada is already house and crate-trained and has been through some basic obedience training. Her current foster has indicated that Jada even has the potential to be a certified therapy dog, and she performs so beautifully in her classes that she is often used as the "demonstrator" for the other students.
