Alvin is an adorable 6 month old male that has just arrived to one of the foster homes in Rescue. He's a beautiful boy! His owners just did not have the time to spend with him. He was very well loved and very well taken care of before arriving into rescue.
Update from foster home:
Alvin absolutely loves to play with our Shepherd and prefers to play keep away with a rock that he found in the yard instead of the tennis balls that are laying everywhere!!! He has wonderful indoor manners but at this point he prefers to play outside. Today we took him on a long walk on leash and he did great. We also took him to Petrsmart and walked around in there for quite a while. He sat on command and was perfect with each person that asked to pet him. He sat calmly and just wagged his tail...there were several other dogs there as well and he was curious and nice to each of them.
It looks like "sit" is the only command that he knew so we are now working with him on "down". He is very eager to please so it should be fairly quick process.
Our adoption process includes completion of an adoption application, a vet check, a home visit and a lifetime adoption contract. Adoptions are not done on a first come first serve basis. WA German Shepherd Rescue is the companion animal's advocate and will select the most suitably matched home for the dog's general needs and the unique needs of each individual dog in our care. We reserve the right to refuse service and adoption without explanation.
