Bowen is a handsome 10 month old male. His favorite activities are giving everyone kisses, long walks around the neighborhood, playing keep away from his shepherd buddy at home, figuring out creative ways to extract treats from the buster cube and kongs, and playing tag. Bowen gets along great with other dogs, and loves to play with his shepherd companion at his foster home. Once he gets over his initial shyness and relaxes, he is a cuddly and affectionate dog that is willing to please. He can sit, shake, and lay down pretty well (we're still working on consistency), but he comes every time his foster mom calls him! Bowen is a breeze to walk, and doesn't try to pull his foster mom around when they're out and about. He does great in the car and lays down very patiently and quietly until you reach your destination. He allows us to cut his nails without much fuss - its a one person job. :o)
Bowen will thrive with a loving, structured home. He is a smart boy who will shine in his mandatory obedience classes. We'll be looking for an experienced shepherd owner for this beautiful dog so that he can reach his full potential as an adult.
Our adoption process includes completion of an adoption application, a vet check, a home visit and a lifetime adoption contract. Adoptions are not done on a first come first serve basis. WA German Shepherd Rescue is the companion animal's advocate and will select the most suitably matched home for the dog's general needs and the unique needs of each individual dog in our care. We reserve the right to refuse service and adoption without explanation.
