FOSTER UPDATE
Tessa loves being around her foster mother. She truly is a house-dog, she loves to be inside with her family except on a leash with her owner. Tessa goes outside to do her business and runs back in to her foster mother. However, Tessa loves to go for walks. When her foster mother grabs the leash for a walk she is already sitting waiting to go out – she can hardly contain herself she is so excited to go out with her owner. Tessa would make an excellent jogging or walking partner, she loves to be on her leash and loves to run and walk. Additionally, Tessa has been running errands with her foster mother and has excellent car manners. She loves going for rides in the car. Tessa also has great house manners. She loves to be by her owner’s side. In the beginning she really did not have much to do with other dogs, however the other night she had a blast running around with the Chihuahua.
Since Tessa was unable to have a lot of human interaction in Taiwan she is relishing every second now. Therefore, she really does not like to be left alone. She truly wants to be a part of everything going on. Tessa would do best in a household where she would get a lot of human interaction. She would love a work from home owner or to travel around on work related business with her owner. Tessa would love to find her forever family. She can not wait to begin her new life and be by her owner’s side. Tessa was found on the streets of Taiwan after being hit by a car. Fortunately for her, TAUPA stepped in to assist her. She has been at the vet for months, since this poor girl only had two options: a kill Shelter or the overflowing TAUPA Shelter with 1300+ dogs! She NEVER was allowed out of the overcrowded cage she lived in. Taiwan is a sad place if you are a dog. People often dump dogs to live on the streets and fend for themselves. Tessa was one of three that was flown over by a Taiwanese rescue to the US to start a new life. Even though she has never been truly loved or had her own family, she is soaking up the love. She is extremely well behaved and quiet indoors. She loves to be indoors and together with people who adore her, very different from where she used to live. Everything is new to her; she is just beginnig to explore what this new environment has to offer. She loves being here and loves the treatment she is receiving as a dog in the US. She has been fostered with dogs and cats.
