German Shepherd Dog / Mixed : : Male : : Young : : Large
Do you or someone you know have the desire to help a rescue dog? If you have a loving heart, dog experience, a safe and secure yard and the notion to make a difference, please consider fostering a rescue dog. There are MANY dogs that we just do not have room for and just one person can make a world of difference to a dog that needs a safe place to rest his or her weary paws.....
Jack is an absolutely terrific young dog with a fantastic personality!
His current foster home reports that he adores playing, especially with the other foster dog, Red. Jack and Red like to wrestle (they hide behind the couch so as not to get caught!!) and then they peek around the corner with wonderfully mischievous faces to see if they've been discovered in their fun! Although he loves his foster companion, he is best suited as an only dog in a home without young children and cats. Jack is not only filled with great character and loads of personality, but he is also well-behaved. Jack's foster mom reports that he is extremely calm when his is inside (and there are no playful cohorts to distract him) and he is nicely house and crate-trained. Jack is a quick study and will do fantastically in his mandatory obedience classes. His eagerness to please his handler will only add to his success with training. This clever dog is truly a joy to be around and will bring endless happiness to his new family. Jack's perfect new home won't include cats (Jack is a bit too interested), but it will include an adult owner who is familiar with shepherds. Jack is one of those interesting dogs (and so very typical of many shepherds) who does much better greeting dogs when he is off-leash, rather than on. Please be aware of this quirky trait and all that it entails.... Jack will thrive with consistency, obedience, playtime and of course, love. Familiar with shepherds? Committed to providing a loving home with solid boundaries and plenty of fun? Looking for a loving companion who lives to please? Please consider giving Jack his forever home. He truly deserves a fantastic new family to call his own and he will definitely give countless years of joy to whoever is lucky enough to call him their own. Please fill out an application to meet me at http://www.washingtongsd.org/application.html The adoption process includes completion of an adoption application, a vet check, a home visit and a lifetime adoption contract.
