Max will only be considered for adult only homes and his adoption fee is $450 which covers his neuter, vaccinations and microchipping. Max needs a fully fenced yard- no exceptions-

Shocking that we haven't found a great home for this amazing dog yet! He is AWESOME!! Shepherd lovers, this is YOUR dog - great personality, gorgeous body, beautiful disposition - just looking for an equally amazing family to call him their own!!
Max's foster home is looking for an AMAZING family to adopt him. Max is a stunningly gorgeous, incredibly intelligent, and just all-around GREAT dog! He has one of those magestic male faces that exemplify the picture we have in our head of the noble German shepherd.
Max loves to play, loves to run and could play ball for hours. He would be a perfect dog for agility or tracking exercises. This shepherd is beyond intelligent. His foster dad was amazed when he was playing ball with Max he decided to hide the ball from him. Max searched for the ball for a minute and then eyed a round apple on the tree in the yard. To his foster dads amazement, Max jumped into the air and pulled an apple off the tree and placed it gently at his foster dads feet so he could throw it for him!!! He is personality plus and extremely intelligent.
Max is a very athletic dog who LOVES the water.
On a hot day his foster mom will fill up the plastic kiddie pool because Max loves to lay down in it and soak! He loves to swim !!!
Max is the perfect house guest. He is quiet and calm indoors, and loves to curl up at your feet and watch TV. He is a gentleman on a leash and will walk perfectly at your side. Max is crate trained and housebroken. Max is one of those rare shepherds that come into rescue once in a blue moon. He is a gentle giant with a sweet temperment and just loves to be hanging out with his foster family. He will quietly follow you around the yard hoping you wil throw a tennis ball for him!
He is a typical shepherd and will protect his home but is very people friendly once he gets to know you. Max is currently fostered with dogs and cats.
Max will only be adopted to a family with good German shepherd experience and the knowledge of how to properly own this incredible breed. If you are amazing, intelligent and willing to devote yourself to this wonderful dog, please complete an application to meet him. If you are not amazing, and not willing to include this boy in all aspects of your life, please do not consider Max for your home.
