Kona is a stunning German bred, AKC female shepherd with exquisite, ultra feminine features and a wonderful personality. Kona has all of the typical characteristics that make her breed so popular. She is intelligent, noble, eager to please, loyal, inquisitive and hard-working. Kona has a personality that would make her an excellent choice for agility or recreational herding, tracking or search and rescue. She enjoys working and adores following her nose. Kona has been through obedience training and knows her basics quite well. Of course, she'll benefit from the bonding that comes from further training with her new handler. As with most shepherds, Kona is best suited to a knowledgeable shepherd family....a person or family who knows the typical tendencies of this breed and who is willing and eager to handle all that it entails. Kona is living with another large breed male in her foster home. Although she does beautifully with him, she may be best suited to being the queen of her household. She truly enjoys the one on one companionship of her person.
Kona has a great ball drive, enjoys car rides, long walks or jogging with her family. She has the most beautiful shepherd gait and watching her is like watching poetry in motion. She is house-trained, crate trained and ready to meet her new family. Please do not apply unless you have owned shepherds. She is best suited to older children (ages 13 and up) or an adult home. Kona has a strong prey drive, so a home without cats or other small animals is required.
