German Shepherd Dog / Mixed : : Female : : Baby : : Large
Update: Cindy has had a bath, smells terrific and her coat is developing a beautiful shine! She is starting to put on a bit of weight and is coming out of her shell. She wags her tail constantly, loves to play and adores attention!! Cindy has discovered that playing ball is alot of fun and she adores following the older shepherd at her foster home around and joining in on a game of "chase the squirrels" when they run across the top of the fence. She is agile, light on her feet and beautiful to watch. A wonderful dog indeed!!!
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Ok, we call her Cindy for short, but she is currently living with her fairy godmother foster home who is looking to give this wonderful girl her fairytale ending. Cindy is a bit small in stature (weighing in around 50 lbs, but currently underweight by 5-10 lbs) but big in heart. This beautiful bi-color shepherd has the most endearing personality. She bonds very quickly and strongly to her family and wins all who she meets over with her sweet demeanor. She adores giving hugs, snuggling in close and showing her happiness with her softly wagging tail.
It's obvious that Cindy has not been shown many kindnesses in her past by her rather unkempt coat (recently brushed and looking better already), and underweight frame. Thankfully these are two easily correctable problems that will quickly disappear with a good diet! Cindy would do best in a home with a nurturing care-giver, willing to build her confidence, show her how much fun the world is and teach her that she can be unconditionally loved.
Cindy is an amazingly easy dog to have around. She doesn't make a sound when crated, doesn't jump on her foster family (not even the young kids), and she is quiet and calm. She rode beautifully in the car, again, quietly and without incident. In fact, she seems to enjoy joining her people for outings. Cindy is currently being fostered in a home with 2 kids, a cat and 2 dogs. Updates on her personality will be posted, along with photos. It's hard to capture her sweet face because she is always busy snuggling her people!
