Another story that almost had a tragic ending....Oliver was sitting at a local shelter for over a month. If not for the urgent request from staff to help this beautiful dog into rescue and the impassioned pleas of a volunteer to get an open foster home, he would have died there. What a tragedy that would have been!! This boy is lovely! Not only is he big and beautiful, he is also affectionate and intelligent. Oliver will make you smile with his playful antics (he adores playing with the female shepherd at his foster home!!), he will make you proud with his beautiful coloring and handsome face, he will make you feel safe with his impressive size and devoted personality. Oliver is a wonderful dog wrapped up in one big dog package that's a great fit for most homes! We are looking for a family with shepherd experience to take Oliver home and give him the family that he is longing for. This big boy is all heart and will bring someone years and years of happiness! He already knows many basic commands, including sit, down and shake. He is already crate-trained, he walks beautifully on his training collar and he loves to play, and to roll on his back for belly rubs.
