Lia came into rescue from a local shelter where she was considered unadoptable due to a skin condition that had caused her to lose much of her hair. After a bath and a healthy diet with quality dog food her coat has come back beautifully and she has put on some weight.
Lia is a sweet and playful adult shepherd who loves to spend time with her foster family and their dogs. She enjoys playing with toys and tug-of-war with the other dogs in the house. Lia is currently fostered with three dogs ranging from 30 pounds to 80 pounds and a cat. The perfect home for Lia would include an adult, a couple or a family with older children, with or without other animals as long as she would receive the love and attention she deserves and craves. Lia loves going for walks and would make a great hiking companion, she has been going to the dog park although we have not let her off leash.
