German Shepherd Dog / Mixed : : Female : : Baby : : Large
To begin with, I want to tell everyone that my name is Emma...I am 6 months old this month and am very excited about turning this age..The first six months can be challenging for any new mom and dad! Learning to use a crate, a dog door, learning to sleep through the night..it all takes time. You are lucky that I will be arriving to your home, my final wonderful home, with all of these great habits in place! I just arrived in my temporary foster home and it is a wonderful place. The family has other dogs, older children and 2 cats..I have yet to see the cats, but as I spent the first six months of my life around a cat, I think they are super fun and interesting to watch..I sometimes love to chase them....well because they are a cat! Who wouldn't love to chase and try to play with a cat. Some cats love it, some don't, but I always like to find out. My foster home has 3 other dogs and they are So much fun. The mini Australian Shepherd named Lizzie is my best friend. She loves to run and play and get me to chase her. I could do that all day and all night long. However, my foster home is always insistent that at night time, I eat with the other dogs..of course on my best behaviour, and then I get to sleep in my nice extra large crate. It is the safe place and gives my family some time to let me sleep and get ready for another big wonderful fun day. I have been learning basic commands. I always love to sit and go into a down as my foster home loves giving us treats. Such an easy thing to get food. More dogs should learn tricks as wonderful pepperoni comes with following such easy commands. I do like to pretend I don't know them once in a while because I get well, distracted, and want to run off and play. But if the treat is REALLY good, I will listen and sit on command! The boys in the household love to pet me. It is wonderful. I love attention, love kisses and love hugs. But I love the big back yard I get to run and play in all day long. I love running back in the house and back out again through the dog door. My original home loved me a LOT, but they just were not ready for a puppy. They had no idea the time it would take and how much I just love to have another dog to play with. I learned a lot from them and gave them lots of love, but I knew that they wanted to find me the best home ever and sent me to a rescue to find my forever home. I am looking for a wonderful family who has time and lots of great treats...someone who will sign me up and take me to obedience classes right away...and provide me with lots of treats..A nice big soft bed is great..and lots of treats! I love to go on a walk too..lots of walks as it is such a big world out there and there are so many people to meet. I also love to go in the car. I love the car...My previous home took me many places and I got to meet many people, so I would love an active home to take me traveling with them too. I cannot wait to find my new home, who I can provide unconditional love to....in exchange for wonderful treats and the best, most loyal companion in the world.....I am waiting !
