About Bear

  • Status: Adopted!
  • Species: Dog
  • Housetrained: Yes
Bear von Lowenthal is a stunning very impressive long haired 8 year old German Shepherd He knows some of his commands and is learning to walk by other dogs on a leash and be a gentleman. His owners were unable to properly care for Bear and his sister so they ended up at the annex of an over crowded shelter where he just waited alone. People usually coming to a shelter are looking for young Shepherd not even realizing that Bear has so much fun to give his new owner and that eight is the new young. In fact, upon meeting him, most people would never believe us if we told them he was 8. He likes to sit with his body pressed up against you and follow you everywhere. He is so trusting you will be there for him. When he is pressed against you he looks up with complete adoration, he seems like he is actually grinning ear to ear. Bear would make such a devoted pet.One of his favorite past times is leaning on people to show his love and lap up any attention people are willing to give him. When he isn’t leaning on a family member, he spends a great part of his day playing with his tennis balls. Bear was great on the ride to his foster home, happily laying in the back of the car and not making a peep .He also knows the SIT command when you have a treat for him. He is already a good sized boy with more filling out to do.
