German Shepherd Dog / Mixed : : Male : : Baby : : Large
Not all dogs and puppies have a chance at a new life..For this boy, we are hoping we can change that. He is sitting in a Shelter in a small town in Eastern Washington where no one can see him...a Shelter that has no website and is not on Petfinder for families to adopt their new pet.
This boy and another dog have until Monday night to find a foster home before euthanasia. We are trying to make a difference for just this one dog.
We have transport arranged from the woman who is trying to save their lives.
If you are able to help save his life, please let us know..He is running out of time.
UPDATE - LUCKY TO BE ALIVE: Cindy and Carrie, the Rescuers of these 2 dogs, have driven both dogs to safety, a 5 hour trip, to us this afternoon..Both are in temporary emergency foster homes until we can find a permanent foster home this week...
Here is the update so far on Ziggy with his wonderful temporary foster mom Debbie..hard to imagine such a great great dog was facing euthanasia tomorrow evening...only due to space in a Shelter..
First impressions; loved Petco..
Probably Husky and GSD, and I'd say part lab too!
Husky/shepherd markings on his face, coat feels like Shepherd or Lab,
Probably won't get much bigger, about the size of a Siberian husky.
Tail doesn't curl like a husky, nor hang like a GSD.
Knows a couple commands, but is a bit shy with the follow through.
Gave him a bath, and although he was shaking at the hair dryer, sat on my lap the entire time.
Smart!! While typing this he just found a Kong and how to get treats.
Loves loves loves to be chased by Dieter, and let's Dieter be dominant, so Dieter loves him.
I make my dogs share food and water dishes, and there have been no scuffles over that.
All in all, he is a sweetheart. Seems to want to learn to please, loves to play. He keeps going to Dieter because he wants to play,but takes the submissive role and likes to be chased.
