German Shepherd Dog : : Female (spayed) : : Baby : : Large
The one word to describe Alice would be “adorable!” She is super friendly and warms up to new people
very fast. She also gets along with all the dogs she meets whether they are bossy or submissive. She
is not a submissive dog, but not dominant either. She is in the middle status of a pack and happy to be
there. She is eager to follow you and respect you if you are a good leader to her. She is highly treat and
praise motivated so training is a piece of cake. She has a very cute expression on her face that makes
you want to give her a kiss every time you see her. Her demeanor is so puppy-like that it cracks you up
every time you see her walk towards you or when she lies down next to you. She is very comfortable
with who she is and she has no fear about doing whatever you want her to do.
Alice is independent, but still loves to stick around. This is a rare quality for an independent dog. She
likes to follow you around and watch what you’re doing or take a nap next to you. Whether you’re
reading, watching TV, taking a bath, or cooking, she loves to be in your presence. She loves to lick
your face if you let her and enjoys getting petted, especially on the belly. She is not into toys and
fetching yet, but loves to play chase with other dogs. She loves to chew a bone when she has some
time to spare! She also loves to stick her nose on the ground outside and follow whatever lovely scent
somebody left for her. I can see somebody having lots of fun doing tracking training with Alice!
I have only had Alice for a week, but she is learning everything so fast!! To start, her “sit” is perfect.
She will sit on cue without a treat in front of every door or to get in and out of elevators and cars. She
now goes “down” with a treat and will hopefully be doing it without treats very soon. “Heel” is another
specialty of hers. Her “heel” is almost impeccable and she can jog or walk with you fast or slow. She
learned “Stay” just a couple days ago and is getting better at it every day. She lays down “on her side”
with a little help from you and is not afraid to do it at all. Her “shake” is getting there. Her “Watch me”
is nothing but perfect. Her “Out” is also perfect since she has had so much practice getting out of the
kitchen on her fist day at my place. Her “Leave it” is progressing as well. The fact that she can learn a
lot in a very short period of time shows how smart and trainable she is.
She has perfect house manners inside. No chewing on lots of things like most puppies, and she is not
into jumping onto furniture. She knows to stay out of the kitchen most of the time and she will correct
herself whenever she notices it. She can hold going to the bathroom for few hours at time and knows
how to let you know when she needs to go. She has minor separation anxiety but she is getting better
at it. She also rides perfectly in the car, just curling up in the back seat and sleeping. She will also let my
dog know when he is being too wild back there too!
If you are interested in her, you have to be somebody who is into training so that we do not to waste
her extraordinary abilities. She learns so fast and loves praise so much that training would be a very
pleasant activity for you and her, I guarantee! I would love to find a home with another canine or
human companion present at all times since she is a very social dog. She would be a perfect jogging
partner. She would love to go for a long jog with you! If you want to meet her, please contact us!!! If
you are interested in this very smart, super adorable baby girl, please come see her. You will most likely
fall in love with her whether you decide to adopt her or not. She is a wonderful dog and we hope she is
