German Shepherd Dog : : Female : : Baby : : Large
Ramona is just 15 weeks of age - a rare find in a rescue situation. This gorgeous sable coated girl is already crate-trained and well on her way to being house-trained.
She has quickly captured her foster family's heart with her endearing personality and they will be extremely selective with who she gets to go home with.
Her ideal family will include children to love on her, a dog to play with her, and perhaps a kitty to snuggle with.
She would adore having someone that is home with her during the day - being just a puppy, hours alone in a crate would not be ideal.
Someone that works from home be ideal.
Ramona likes to chase balls, but she is not obsessive about it. She enjoys packing around stuffed toys and chewing on pig hide rolls. She is a smart pup that will thrive in obedience classes.
She can be vocal at times - she will tell you if she doesn't like something. In typical puppy fashion, she is mouthy and her little teeth can hurt. She is working on curbing her desire to chew on hands.
Ramona will only be adopted to a family that has prior knowledge of German shepherds - by knowledge, that means that her new family will have owned one or more of these special dogs in the past (as adults, not growing up in a family that had shepherds)
If you think that you may have what it takes to be "the" family for this special pup, please submit an application. Ramona's home will be chosen very carefully-it will not be a first come, first serve placement. It will be best fit.
A fully fenced yard is required for Ramona. Ideally, families with children over the age of 6 years are preferred.
