Once in a while a new dog comes into Rescue and your heart breaks. Your heart breaks as you know that this dog that looks at you, follow you around and wants to nudge his head in your lap...had less than 24 hours to live in the high kill Shelter he was in. Fortunately for this great dog, a woman spent days working on saving him and bringing him to WA from California.
It breaks your heart to see such a wonderful dog who knows sit and will do anything in this world for a treat. He is learning his basic commands..Sit is well done..Down and stay are next! He also loves car rides and walks. This wonderful dog is so cuddly and affectionate. When you come from a hard day at work and sit down on the sofa, this boy wriggles his head into your lap and wants nothing more than to be pet and lots of cuddles. HE wags his tail, and wiggles all over in hopes he will be there to get lots of time to snuggle..He even thinks he may be a lap dog... Teddy Bear is crate trained and house trained as well. He eats in his crate.He is so polite and the first day he arrived he was not sure he wanted to go into the crate, so he delicately picked up his food dish in his crate,carried it to the floor and finished eating it...He has such cute mannerisms and habits..SO much to learn about this wonderful dog. He will be that wonderful pet, that wonderful Shepherd/Golden Retriever mix that is what every wants! We caught him rolling on the dog sofa tonight. We could not help but laugh..I think he thought it was Halloween as he was all dressed up in an orange cape..We tried to tell him it was the wrong holiday coming up, but he didn't care..So if you are looking for a dog that loves to be dressed up..well he is your man:) We just cannot say amazing enough things about this boy!
