Remember that really pretty, girl in high school? The one that was really smart, got good grades, lots of attention from everyone, and everyone wanted to be her friend? Lilie is that girl in the German Shepherd world. She’s such a pretty young girl with her short, plush white coat and her demure good looks. She tips the scales at just 60 pounds, right where she should be for an 11-month old female. Her family took excellent care of her and it shows. She’s been well-trained: she knows heel, sit, down, stay, stand, and all their combinations, from voice or hand commands. She doesn’t eat her food until you tell her she can. If you change your mind and decide to give her that extra morsel to make her food taste really good, she’s just fine if you take it away from her in mid-bite. Her family reported she’s an accomplished ball retriever. When she’s ready to play, she’ll drop her ball or toy in your lap or at your feet. Yet she’s also a very polite young lady—she waits for people to enter or leave doors first and she’ll hold even oblige you for a paw-cleaning or nail trimming by holding up her paw for you. Even though she knows her manners, she’s not above a little canine hijinx. To ensure her safety she stays in a crate when her people are away from home--she’s a Shepherd puppy after all and she doesn’t need to hone her Houdini skills. Lilie is a high energy, very intelligent, extremely loving and affectionate girl who is looking for someone confident and knowledgeable from first-hand experience about Shepherds to help keep her out of trouble, in good company, and on her toes. In exchange you will get a loyal and loving valuable addition to your family and home. She is currently in a foster home with a cat and another male Shepherd and being spoiled as much as she was by her original family…well, maybe a tiny bit more…she’s sleeping under the covers with her foster family. To make the smoothest transition for this special girl, Lillie's ideal home would be a single or two person adult couple. She was raised in a home with 2 adults, so we are matching her future family based on her background.
