White German Shepherd (medium coat) : : Male (neutered) : : Young : : Large
Karsten is a young, friendly, affectionate, handsome white German Shepherd dog. He starts off his day with a romp in the yard before breakfast with his foster mom’s other dog. He loves to play and play and play…he lets his family know how content he is by little grunts and groans as he rolls and wrestles in the grass. After letting the boys “warm up” a little in the yard, his foster mom takes both boys on a run around the neighborhood. Oh what excitement ensues when the leashes come near—he’s a bonafide wiggle butt as he quivers with excitement waiting for his leash. Karsten knows he’s going to have the time of his life investigating all the nuances of life on the Burke Gilman Trail. Both domesticated and non-domesticated animals abound on his walk, and though he displays interest, he doesn’t ever chase. Karsten and his companion get tons of compliments on the trail. Lots of people stop and say how handsome he is and want to pet him. He is a very happy dog so he loves to be petted, strangers and known people alike, even when in highly crowded areas. He also enjoys laying about. After a bit of exercise he lays on the deck and enjoys the rest of the afternoon just hanging out. He’s not a picky eater; he loves his food, eating every last crumb. He crates readily and well during the workday. Next-door neighbors report no barking or whining at all. He has the excellent house manners (except for the Mailman alert bark) you expect and shows Karsten no destructive behaviors. He loves affection and could get his belly rubbed all day. He’s a great dog who’s just waiting to meet the perfect loving active family. Karsten is currently in an advanced Board and Train Program!
He was in board and train to learn on leash:
loose leash walking, sit, down, and stay. The foundations for the commands heel, come and place..Lucky dog his foster mom spent so much time and money to get him into amazing shape!
