Rigby is a very happy girl who loves everyone she meets!  She soaks up any attention you give her, including a good brushing or bath.  She even patiently puts up with those pesky nail trims.  Rigby learns new things incredibly quickly - nothing makes her happier than earning your praise.  She can get a bit rambunctious at times (like before dinner or before a walk, when the leash comes out!), but she responds well to clear, consistent redirection and discipline.  She picks up new rules quickly, like staying until released for dinner, waiting to go through the front door until released, and walking behind people up/down stairs.  Her leash manners are excellent most of the time, and she is getting better at ignoring squirrels and passing dogs on our walks.  Rigby impressed her new foster mom with how quickly she improved at "Stay" - she can now hold a long stay in the middle of the afternoon bustle around Green Lake, with loads of distractions!  She loves to play ball, which is proving to be a useful tool in improving her recall.  She loves going on runs with her foster dad.  After a nice walk or jog, Rigby is content to settle down nearby and is generally very quiet and self-entertained in the house.  She is also good in her crate, rarely making a peep.  She knows to stay off furniture and counters, and has a great sense of what things she can play with and what are "people" toys to be left alone.  Rigby has done well meeting other well-socialized pups and doesn't react to kids around her.  In general, though, she is most interested in her people and her ball, so we think she'd be quite content as the only dog with an active couple.
