About Paris

Paris and Vienna are beautiful white shepherds looking for a happy ending to a sad story. This sweet pair was abandoned in a house when their first owners moved. Luckily, observant neighbors took them to a shelter where they could be cared for until our rescue organization found them and decided to help. We are thrilled to have them as they are absolutely gorgeous -- take a look: http://www.flickr.com/photos/40908332@N02/.

This is what their foster mom had to say about them:

At first I was a bit dubious if I could take on two more foster dogs as I already have a couple other foster dogs plus my own dogs but Jeff told me that they are super easy and he was right.  These dogs were absolutely effortless to assimilate into the household.  They are very petite (only 5lbs each but definitely pure bred, demure and well mannered.  They are so well-behaved that sometimes I forget they are there.  I took them for a run with me on the Burke Gilman trail and they were very inquisitive about everything.  I got the impression that they may have been kept in a yard all their lives so they were very excited to experience the world outside a chain link fence.  They were very friendly with everyone they met, human and dog alike, in a nice calm way.  There was no over-the-top jumping or other crazy energy.   They got so many compliments from passers-by, as they are very stunning to look at. They especially enjoyed going down to the lake and wading in water for the very first time.  When a boat passed by creating some wake in the water, they were so excited by the small waves and tried to chase them.  They also enjoyed the crunchy sound of the dried leaves lying on the trail.  Whover adopts them will have a lot of fun watching them blossom into the dogs they were meant to be.

During the day, while I am at work they are inside their crates.  Since I’ve been feeding them in their crates too, they are very happy to spend the time there and happily march right in when its time to do so.:-).   They are very bonded to each other and play with each other every opportunity they can get.  Their play is very gentle and quiet, a super sweet relationship.  It would be great if they could get adopted as a pair because they are best buddies and entertain each other, so I don’t have to!.   I would think it would be just as easy to have both of them as it is to have one of them. Probably easier. Vienna had a grass seed caught behind her third eyelid so I took her to my vet and  he  removed it and put her on some antibiotics so her eye should be back to normal within a week or so.
