Meet Maggie !!   Maggie is a Red Tri Colored Miniature Australian Shepherd.  She is about 18 lbs and is as sweet as can be.  She is not as high energy as a typical aussie,  and she has the cute little ‘wiggle butt’ that everyone loves.  

When she is happy to see you,  she will launch and jump into your arms and shower your face with little kisses.   She is fantastic on a leash,  and is curious about everything that goes on around her both inside and out. 

Maggie requires a fully fenced yard, and is in a foster home with cat and other dogs..  However, we know that Maggie would like to be the only dog in the home, however, as it’s really her turn to be spoiled and not have to share her attention with any other dog. So, if you have other dogs, please do not apply..Sorry! But that is best for Maggie.High quality pet food and salmon oil in her food will assure that her coat is full,soft  and shiny.  She will also need a house with a fully fenced yard..So, no apartments and no condos..

Update from her original home:

She will jump in your arms. She loves to fetch !Her aussie herding instinct seems to play into that. She could round up or run down the chickens if needed. She REALLY liked that and was good at it.

She LOVES walks too. She can JUMP REALLY HIGH if you play a game with her.."Get the ball or toy and make her work for it. She can sit, speak, lie down and somewhat roll over but not that good at that. 

Another thing... if you just gesture in the direction you want her to go she usually got that. Outside, inside, up into the car on the couch off the couch etc. and loved the "good girl" praise!! Tone of voice is important for her.
