About Baroness

  • Status: Adopted!
  • Species: Dog
  • Housetrained: Yes

Baroness  is a 6 month old female German Shepherd, born on August 31st, 2012. She ing in a wonderful caring home with a Cat and  a Kitten in her previous home as well as a boy. The family took very good care of Isabelle and loved her very much.  They read everything they could about being a new German Shepherd owner and tried to do everything the right way.  They realized that the time needed to spend with the 2 girls (Isabelle and Baroness) and the training was just more than they could give.  With the husband in the military and the mom working and caring for their son too, it was just too much. We will be placing the 2 puppies separately.

We are looking at placing the puppies separately as they are siblings.  Both are crate trained and house broken.  They are super affectionate and friendly too. And a funny thing about them is that during a full moon, they love going into the yard and looking up and running around..every full moon!

Update from foster home:

Baroness loves the water; loves to chase the waves, flies and butterflies at the beach.  When she is in the house, and not playing, she likes to rest her head on the window sill and check out everything that is going on outside.

She plays very well with the main dog in the home

She is very affectionate and loves to be close to her human companion, no matter where they may go.

She is potty trained and is so smart, she learned how to use a dog door in less than 15 minutes.

She knows how to sit on command and is quickly learning the command “off”; with some training and consistency, she will learn more commands which will  step her up from being a good dog to a being great dog/companion.

She loves her nap time.  If her crate door is open, she will go lie down on her own for some quiet time.

She enjoys having company come over and is quietly curious about everyone.
