German Shepherd Dog : : Female (spayed) : : Young : : Large
Britta is a stunning muscular 82lb 3-year old Shepherd!
Britta thrives in her foster home and has learned a tremendous amount of obedience which she excels in. She knows sit, down, wait, stay, go to crate, go to bedroom, release, gentle, on your side (lay down on her side to clean her paws and cut her nails), go ahead (permission to eat), kiss, leave it, and reverse (to walk backwards).
She has learned more than the basic obedience class teaches. So, when her new adopter starts obedience, she will be well ahead of the class!
Britta loves treats and loves vegetables too, so training is very easy.
Britta absolutely loves to get her belly scratched and ears cleaned. She also loves being brushed.
Britta likes balls, sticks, and kongs. oh and loves loves loves to fetch.
Britta is a very gentle Shepherd. She is incredibly sweet and loving as well.
When she is not going for a walk or playing with her foster brother, she loves to watch TV with foster mom. She recognizes dogs and horses on the TV screen!
When she is outdoors, she Loves to be chased by her foster brother in the yard, she loves jogging and hiking. So she is looking for a fun active adopter.
Britta has impeccable house manners but she also loves to go with her people for short trips or long trips, although she is very good at home too. Britta rides very well in a car or nicely in the backseat of the truck. Her foster home works full time and Britta loves to take a walk or play ball after work. She also loves to play with the other male German Shepherd in the home. She would very much enjoy walking or jogging with her person. When her family goes on vacation, she goes to an in home boarding/dog day care facility which she loves.
Additionally, Britta is very healthy. She had X-rays for her hips and were told they look good. Her date of birth is 10/26/2011.
Britta was not raised with cats, so a home without cats is best.
Britta's ideal home is a single or adult couple with no other pets! She loves her German Shepherd brother in her foster home, but will thrive as the only dog where she will get a lot of 1:1..
