Weekend Assistance with Foster?
Adoption, foster or assistance with fostering. Jack is a handsome, young, athletic 1 ½ year old male. He would love to find an active hike, bike, or run human, who has bully or mastiff type breed experience. His is a friendly, (lick your face type of dog), with great house manners. He knows basic obedience (sit, stay, shake, down) and is learning “leave it”. His recall is good, but we haven’t been off leash around rabbits, small critters or any other major temptation. He lives with another older female dog and has lived with children ages 5-7. He enjoys cuddling on the couch or sleeping in a warm bed with his caretaker. He is housebroken and has free range of the home when his caretaker is at work. He has been social and friendly with all the new people he meets. He is currently neutral with other dogs. Jack hasn’t had any direct exposure to cats, small dogs or small animals, as of yet. Therefore, he will not be placed in a home with any small animals or access to small animals. Jack is young and with an active foster or adopter, we hope to maximize his potential and exposure (safely), as he’s a strong boy. For those with breed experience, he will need continued exposure to other animals, people and situations, to make him a good canine citizen. He is living with his owner who, due to circumstances beyond her control, can no longer keep him. He is currently not getting out of the house much and is bored, but not destructive. We are hoping to find a foster and/or adopter soon. We are also taking turns keeping him for days or weekends and working with him. He is still at the age, where proper training and socialization will make a big difference in his quality of life. This is a private adoption and Courtesy Posting. Please email jacklooking4home@yahoo.com with any questions.
