Our hours are by appointment only. If you are a good match, we will contact you, typically within 72 hours. We must review a completed application before an appointment is arranged. No exceptions. All visits with the rescue animals are by approved applications and appointments only. Bear is a six-year-old, male, German Shepherd Dog looking for his forever home! He is very affectionate with people and does well with older children/ teenagers. Bear always wants to be with people and will follow you around the house to be in your presence. He loves attention and loves to be scratched and petted. Bear is fond of stuffed toys, especially squeaky ones. He does not dig and is not destructive in the house. Bear likes exercise and will be a great companion for walking, running and hiking. Bear generally has good leash manners and knows many basic commands (sit, stay, lie down, go bed, come and heel). He is still working on leave-it and off. Bear is a good watchdog and is very alert to any and all small noises in or around the home. He does not seem to enjoy the company of other dogs. Bear prefers to get all of the attention in the home. Bear also has a strong prey drive and is interested in chasing small things that run (like cats). For this reason, Bear will do best in a home without cats and where he is the only dog.
