We must review a completed application before an appointment is arranged. No exceptions. All visits with the rescue animals are by approved applications and appointments only. Elke is my current foster dog and I must say after fostering German Shepherds for many years and 30 German Shepherds during that time, I will say that she is one of the sweetest, friendliest dogs I've had the pleasure of taking care of. She's a young girl, and has a lovely soft to the touch coat of fur. Elke loves the company of humans and large dogs. She is exceptionally playful with other dogs, insisting that they play with her even getting my own older dog who is a bit shy to play. She introduces nicely to new dogs and people and is a bit mischievous in the house, but is certainly smart enough to learn perfect house manners. She also loves her crate and has no problem getting back into her crate during the day, after a long romp in the backyard in the morning. She'd be a great little sister for another dog but could certainly be an only dog as well, with the proper amount of exercise and socialization. Sorry, but no cats as Elke has a strong prey drive and will clear your yard of squirrels and other small vermin.
