We must review a completed application before an appointment is arranged. No exceptions. All visits with the rescue animals are by approved applications and appointments only. Meet Beau! Beau was found at a local community center patiently waiting for his people to come back for him. Thankfully, the rescue took him in after his hold was finished at the shelter and now he's in a foster home with a family and another GSD! Beau is a very energetic two-year-old. You can tell from his coat that he was a well-loved indoor family member prior to rescue and he is potty trained. Beau is very smart and food motivated, which makes him easy and fun to train. This means that we are working on the basics with Beau like greeting his family without jumping, walking on leash, sits, downs, not counter surfing, etc. Beau is learning quickly, but we have some habits that need to be unlearned. Beau even picked up on how to use the bells on the back door to ask to go out for potty breaks from his new GSD sibling. He is also crate-trained, though sometimes he does whine for a bit when he goes into his crate. Beau settles down after a few minutes. His foster family works full time and due to his young age, crate training is so important. Beau is great company for his foster mom's walks in the evening and they play fetch a couple of times a day too. He’s really good at dropping the ball at your feet so that you can throw it again. Beau is great with our dog (though sometimes a bit rough/mouthy when he plays) and he has been very good with meeting new friends when they visit his foster family's house. Beau’s very friendly and affectionate with people in his foster home, though he has only been around adults and teenagers. If you would like to adopt Beau, visit our website and apply today!
