German Shepherd Dog (medium coat) : : Female (spayed) : : Young : : Large
AVAILABLE for adoption: Meet Bridgette!
Hard to believe this pretty girl, full-of-life was pulled out of the euthanasia room just in the nick of time! Brigitte couldn't be more deserving of the loving and stable new home she dreams of.
She's a typical "teenager" at 2 years of age: lots of energy, loves to play hard, but is sweet as pie and cuddly when the play is done. She's a social girl who loves people and other dogs–especially her foster brother Niles! With some structure and patience to help her work through this teenage Shepherd age, Brigitte is sure to become an absolutely lovely GSD companion.
An active home and family who will offer plenty of outlets for her mental and physical energy would be ideal. She'd really prefer not to be crated for extended periods of time –at least until she settles in; because that's so boring, and this girl just wants to have fun! During the day she goes in her crate a bit begrudgingly and fusses awhile, but then realizes it's the perfect time for a nap. At night she's been sleeping soundly in a crate by her foster mom's bed.
Due to her exuberance and energy, Brigette will be best in a home with GSD experience and is not currently a good match for homes with children or small animals.
Running, hikes, car rides, doggy play dates or even a canine brother or sister who can match her energy level?!
Brigette says "Yes, Please!!!"
If you would like to adopt Bridgette, visit our website and apply today!
Please fill out an application to meet me at http://www.washingtongsd.org/application.html
The adoption process includes completion of an adoption application, a vet check, a home visit and a lifetime adoption contract.
Adoptions are not done on a first come first serve basis. WA German Shepherd Rescue is the companion animal's advocate and will select the most suitably matched home for the dog's general needs and the unique needs of each individual dog in our care. We reserve the right to refuse service and adoption without explanation.
Our hours are by appointment only. If you are a good match, we will contact you, typically within 72 hours. YOU WILL HEAR FROM US ONLY IF WE FIND YOU TO BE A GOOD MATCH FOR ONE OF OUR RESCUE ANIMALS AND OUR ADOPTION GUIDELINES/PROGRAM. We must review a completed application before an appointment is arranged. No exceptions. All visits with the rescue animals are by approved applications and appointments only.
