Tekka (Azteca) is a very handsome, intelligent, 19-month-old, male, 85 lbs, German Shepherd Dog. He is a very sweet boy. Tekka has completed his 8-week obedience course and did great! He learns super-fast. Tekka loves his food and is very food driven. Tekka loves taking car rides and going on walks and has excellent leash manners. He also has very good house manners and loves to lay around where his people are. When you tell him it’s bedtime, he’ll head to his kennel where he’ll sleep all night. Tekka gets along great with the female German Shepherd (Greta) that he lives with and he mostly ignores the cat that lives there too. He loves playing fetch and tug, but will shred any soft toys. It is best to keep Tekka's toys on the more durable side. He loves to keep a ball or toy in his mouth or one close by. Tekka has lived in a home with a large yard and loves the room to run and play. He loves playing with Greta, but wants to be around his people mostly. Tekka wants to be with you, whether it is inside or out. When he is in the house, he will lay in his favorite spot or lay at your feet to get his tummy rubbed. Tekka is very well behaved. He is very vocal, especially when he greets you or when he sees you getting his leash for a walk. Tekka will usually try and find a ball or toy to help himself curb his excitement. Tekka would do best in a home with a single adult or adult couple based on his background. He has never lived with children or small dogs.
